Wealth and Prosperity (Dhan Labh): The primary belief is that keeping it attracts wealth, financial growth, prosperity, and good fortune, often leading people to keep it in their cash box, safe, or place of business.

Protection: It is believed to create a protective spiritual aura, shielding the owner from negative energies, evil eye (buri nazar), black magic, and evil spirits.

Luck and Success: It is thought to enhance general luck, help in achieving success, and remove obstacles (badha) in life and business.

Vashikaran: In some practices, it is also associated with vashikaran, or the ability to influence and attract desired outcomes or people.

3. Traditional Use and Preservation

Ritual Use: For the item to be considered potent, it is usually believed to require a specific ritual process or “energizing” (Siddh/Energized) by an expert priest or practitioner using specific mantras.

Storage: Traditionally, it is often kept wrapped in a piece of cloth, sometimes red, and placed in a cash box, safe, or a designated place of worship within the home or business.

Lal Kitab Context: While the ancient astrological text Lal Kitab does not prescribe it as a direct remedy (upaya), it does mention precautions for its preservation, suggesting it should be wrapped in cloth of specific colors depending on planetary positions (e.g., Rahu in the 1st house).
